Ship captains' letters, 1835-1844.

Letters, invoices, and receipts for goods from various ship captains lightered in Mobile Bay to ship owners Benjamin Delano and Son and Thatcher Magoun and Son. The letters are in good condition. Many of them discuss the cargo carried, the "dullness" of business in Mobile, and the types of and costs of the goods bought.
